The Best Tennis Shoes of 2024
Tennis shoes are an important part a tennis players wardrobe. Obviously. They are the only thing connecting you to the court… unless you face-plant while diving for a volley.
What are the best shoes to buy?
There are so many options.
Luckily, our friends at Tennis Warehouse sent us their Top 3 selling men’s shoes in 2024 for us to review.
Good-looking, stable, and comfortable tennis shoes
As the reviewer, I paid attention to three main categories:
Looks - Look good, feel good, play good. Enough said.
Stability - If you roll your ankle - you are toast.
Comfort - Tennis can be a grind, you need a shoe that supports you.
Below is the full video review of the 3 best tennis shoes of 2024 (in no particular order). Below that is a summary of the key factors above.
Top 3 Tennis Shoes of 2024 Reviewed:
Asics Gel Resolution 9
Looks - In the white, these shoes look clean. Low profile. Classic tennis shoes that mean business. One of the most popular lines of tennis shoes in modern times. Can’t go wrong from a looks department staying with the basic colours, but if you like a little flair - they have options.
Stability - Feels low to the court. Good court connection, and great feeling of stability as you don’t feel like your sitting up on the shoe. Think of sitting down in a sports car. You feel like you are in control (even if you are terrible at tennis).
Comfort - Awesome comfort. Not overly thick or cushiony, but has great comfort throughout the footbed, especially under the balls / toes of the foot - which is rare. Elastic bands connected to the tongue really help grab your foot and secure the shoe around it in a very comfortable way.

K-Swiss Hypercourt Express 2
Looks - Classy, classic tennis shoe… again looks clean in the white. Some may say that these shoes look a little retro, but I think old-school looks are definitely back in style, so I love it. What’s old is new.
Stability - An extremely light shoe despite the thickness. Wide shoe in general, as K-Swiss typically are, so they feel stable while riding a little higher than the Asics, probably due to extra cushioning in general. With the amble space for the foot to spread as weight is applied, I feel this shoe is stable.
Comfort - Feels like a runner. Thick cushioning all around the shoe, feels like you are playing in a pillow. This could result in a lack of breathability, but the comfor in this shoes is as good as it gets on the market.

Nike Air Zoom Vapor Pro 2
Look - An upgrade from the Vapor Pro in my opinion, has cleaner lines, less curvy looking, and this colorway is great.
Stability - Probably the least stable of the three shoes in this video, but still a shoe that allows you to move with extreme confidence due to how natural it feels on the foot. Since the shoe is light, dynamic, and comfortable - I feel it allows players to play naturally, increasing stability from just feeling like a normal athletic shoe.
Comfort - Like it’s predecessors - this Vapor has the vintage combo of comfort, responsiveness, and breathability. The Vapor line may be the most popular tennis shoe in the last 2 decades, for good reason.
